Bob Boll Jr., in February of 1987, won the 1st annual World Champion Brick Olympics held in Wisconsin. Bob shattered the previous record of 790 laid in an hour by laying 914 bricks in a double-brick wall worthy of industry standards. For his efforts he was presented with a brand new 1988 Dodge Dakota and a $3,000 cash reward. This feat earned Bob a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for the worlds fastest bricklayer. Many local newspapers ran stories and interviews about Bob, and construction companies congratulated him and even included his story in their advertisements. Bob Boll Jr., in February of 2004, won the 2nd annual Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 contest held in Orlando, Florida. Bob laid 765 bricks in 60 minutes, beating last year's 539 winner by 226 bricks. Bob was awarded about $10,000 dollars worth of cash and prizes and bragging rights for another entire year as the "Country's Best Bricklayer".
This Championship, his second National Title, comes 17 years after his first title in 1987. Bob proved to himself and everybody else, that he still has what it takes to be the nation's best.
